Congratulations to Foundation Director Emeritus Dr. Diane Spatz who was recently recognized for her outstanding work at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in helping new mothers learn to breast feed. Diane is a lactation specialist and is the principal investigator of a study researching the breast feeding tendencies of low income women and whether check-ups every two weeks will encourage mothers to breast feed longer.You can read about Diane's work at http://www.philly.com/philly/health_and_science/20070820_Got_mothers_milk_.html.
