Four years ago in Louisville, she was a volunteer who swore she'd return to the Games as an athlete....

Moments ago, we welcomed AUBREY BIRDEN (Iota Epsilon, Indiana University at Kokomo) back to the Games!

A kidney transplant recipient, she'll be competing this weekend in badminton, bowling and the 5K cycle race.
